Leeds/Bradford Airport is approximately 25 miles. Use of car essential as no village shop. Excellent and convenient access to A1.

Edge of village location. The market town of Boroughbridge with a wide range of facilities lies 4 miles to the north, with the ancient City of York and Spa town of Harrogate both within easy reach (approx 12 miles), closer still the remains of the roman town of Isirium Brigantum (Aldborough - 3 miles). Local pubs include The Punch Bowl in Marton cum Grafton (2 miles), The Lime Tree Inn in Great Ouseburn (2.5 miles) and The Ship Inn at Aldborough (2.5 miles).
